What Is ICON White Spot Removal?
ICON is a minimally invasive resin infiltration treatment designed to remove or dramatically reduce the appearance of white spot lesions. These spots often appear after orthodontic treatment, from enamel decalcification, fluorosis, or early-stage cavities.
Instead of drilling away healthy tooth structure, ICON uses a specialized resin that penetrates and stabilizes compromised enamel — blending the white spot into your natural tooth color. The result: a smoother, more uniform, naturally beautiful smile.

BOOK APPOINTMENT How ICON Treatment Works
1. Preparation of the enamel – A gentle solution opens the pores of the white spot lesion.
2. Resin infiltration – A specially formulated ICON resin penetrates the affected area.
3. Light curing – The resin is hardened and polished for a smooth, natural finish.
In most cases, the entire process takes less than an hour for a transformation that looks like it took months to achieve!
FAQ about ICON White Spot Treatments
Does ICON White Spot Treatment work?
Yes. ICON is clinically proven to significantly reduce or eliminate white spot lesions by filling the porous enamel with a clear resin. This changes how light reflects off the enamel, making the white spots blend seamlessly with the natural tooth color. Most patients see immediate, noticeable improvement.
How much does ICON White Spot Treatment cost?
ICON treatment typically ranges from $150 to $450 per tooth, depending on the size and severity of the white spot, as well as how many teeth are being treated. During your consultation, we’ll provide a clear, personalized estimate.
How long does ICON treatment last?
ICON results can last several years, and many patients enjoy permanent improvement. While white spots generally do not return, good oral hygiene and regular dental visits help maintain your results.
What are the side effects of ICON dental treatment?
Side effects are minimal. Some patients experience temporary mild tooth sensitivity for 24–48 hours. There is no drilling, anesthetic, or enamel removal, so discomfort is very limited.
What not to do after ICON treatment?
Avoid darkly pigmented foods and drinks — such as coffee, red wine, berries, or tomato sauce — for at least 24 hours after treatment. This helps prevent staining while the resin fully sets.
