Tooth-Colored Fillings/Bonding

A tooth-colored filling is composed of a composite resin material used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, extensive staining, or to close unwanted spaces. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then Dr. Cannilla can blend and mix shades to find the perfect color to match your natural teeth. The tooth/composite bond actually supports the remaining tooth structure, deterring breakage and insulating against temperature changes. The bonding procedure is usually completed in one visit leaving you with a beautifully sculpted, natural-looking restoration.

Medium and small composites can typically last from 4-7 years before they begin to chip and wear away. Good oral hygiene practices, eating habits, and regular dental visits will aid in the longevity of your new fillings.
