About Us
Our office opened in August 2008, when Dr. Cannilla purchased the practice from long standing dental icon in Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Robert Sheller. After working in Denville and Hackettstown, Dr. Cannilla chose Pine Brook because of his desire to locate in the same town as his residence and serve the family needs in his community.
Our team includes Dr. Anthony Cannilla, Beth, Nancy, Trish, Meg, & Liza. The founding members of Dr. Cannilla and Beth worked together for 5 years in Denville and now find themselves pioneering a new office in Pine Brook. With hard work, determination and dedication, the office has been vastly updated in order to provide our patients the quality of care that they deserve. We have hygienists, Tricia and Meg, on selective days in order to accommodate our growing status and patients' needs for evening and Saturday appointments.
Anthony Cannilla, D.M.D.
Dr. Cannilla earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Penn State University in 1995 and was employed as a Quality Control Microbiologist in Long Island. Upon deciding to pursue a career as a dentist, Dr. Cannilla attended graduate school at Hofstra University and earned his D.M.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2003.
Afterwards, Dr. Cannilla completed a year-long residency in general dentistry at Mountainside Hospital, with a focus on cosmetic dentistry, root canals, oral surgery, and implant procedures. Upon graduation, Dr. Cannilla became an attending and mentor at the general practice residency and continues to remain on staff at the hospital. Recently, Dr. Cannilla was awarded with the Attending of the Year from Mountainside Hospital.

Dr. Cannilla had previously spent time performing dentistry in Denville and Hackettstown; including Phillipsburg, working with developmentally disabled patients. Outside of the office in Pine Brook and Mountainside Hospital, he spends time with his wife and daughter. Dr. Cannilla prides himself on learning the latest techniques and dental concepts through many continuing education courses. Dr. Cannilla is involved in the community as a participant in preschool dental health week in the month of February and a as member of the Order of the Sons of Italy which provides countless donations and sponsorships to Parsippany and Montville.
By offering complete dental care utilizing modern dental technology, Dr. Cannilla provides his patients with a comfortable experience that results in a beautiful smile. He loves developing a long-lasting relationship with patients and changing their smiles to improve their self-confidence and quality of life.
Beth Graf is the heart and soul of our office. She is our office manager, receptionist, and dental assistant. With her background of 16 years in dentistry, Beth is the perfect person to answer your questions.
Beth is a graduate of Berdan Institute and started her career as a registered dental assistant. Throughout the years, she worked as a receptionist and involved herself with the daily operations of the office. Now, Beth is the backbone of our office and she will gladly assist you.
Beth is the proud mother of two children and has a very supportive husband. In addition in giving 100% to her family, Beth is involved with her church events, volunteering herself for fundraisers and she goes to educate and aid underprivileged families in third world nations.
